Visit the Crozet Artisan Depot

Located in the historic Crozet train depot, the Crozet Artisan Depot displays the workmanship of artists from the surrounding area. As a hub for artists in the region, they display and sell the work of a different guest artist each month. Pay a visit to engage in a unique, cultural experience while supporting the hard work of local artists.

Crozet Artisan Depot: Guest Artist Series

Until March 31st, head to the Crozet Artisan Depot to explore the work of the local artist, Steve Palmer. He creates beautiful ceramic pottery and is based out of Charlottesville. Beautifully crafted, one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces will fill the depot, allowing you plenty to explore. He creates both functional and decorative pottery, both of which are perfect for a gift or for your home. According to Steve Palmer, most of his artwork is inspired and influenced by things that brought him joy during his childhood such as robots and rocket ships. You won’t want to miss his unique masterpieces.

Upcoming Events

On the second Saturday of each month, experience Second Saturday Crozet! Each month, there are art events that introduce you to the work of numerous regional artists and helps to foster a sense of community for the arts in Crozet. On March 14th, Second Saturday Crozet will be at the Crozet Artisan Depot! They will be hosting a meet the artist reception during which you can meet Steve Palmer from 1 pm to 3 pm. The show and sale of his pottery will give you a taste of his craft. Bowls, jars, teapots, and more are available for you to explore and shop. For an up-close look at how an artist works, what inspires him, and to explore his creations, you’ll want to stop by.

In addition to Second Saturday Crozet being hosted at the Artisan Depot this month, there will be one featured artist each month. After enjoying the unique pottery from Steve Palmer in March, enjoy Tigermoth Jewelry by Allison Shroeder in April. Come May, Amanda Smith will be the featured artist, and you can explore her Encaustic Painting. Be sure to check the Crozet Artisan Depot’s website to see what artists are coming each month.
